About The Artwork
American Rodeos dot the US and cowboys, even in 2015, reflect the American culture and our strong farming history. This painting is of Westminster, SC at a home town rodeo in the fall of 2014. Under the hot sun, mom stands and waits with her son. Rodeo is a dangerous sport that thrives in the south. My brush strokes give a texture even to the shirt of this cowboys and the painting's blue tones highlight the browns of the horse and saddle. Americana is part of every rodeo and I enjoy that part of the show as well.
