Born in the county of East Sussex, UK, during WW2. This area of UK still inspires a lot of my work although having spent most of my life in S.London. Have always dabbled in art but after two years as a Radio Officer in the British Merchant Navy chose a career in Electronic Engineering. Over the past two and a half decades my guide and mentor for my work has been professional painter and lecturer Michael Horn (http://www.michaelhornstudio.co.uk/ ) Landscape, architecture, ships and the sea,jive dance and nature are all influential on my work. London, East Sussex and Norfolk are my main sources for landscape work. My preferred media are ink,oil paint and more recently gouache.
