About The Artwork
I am interested in storytelling. Church frescos tell stories. I am interested in childhood. How our identity is formed by the stories we see or listen to. My series 'Birds & Toys' are about the innocence and playfulness of childhood. I have used crushed shells in the first layer of paint to create a rough wall like surface and then added handmade paper to simultaneously express rawness and frailty of childhood. Ready to hang. Would look great on a colored wall. Only quality materials. Varnished surface.
