About The Artwork

My method of painting is simple: I hang canvasses on a wall and liberally applie spray paint or acrylic to them. Then I turn the canvases repeatedly so that gravity takes over and causes the paint to drip in streams in one direction or the other. I claim to play a relatively minor role in the process, letting natural forces do the work instead. I want to keep developing and researching my unique painting style and technique. I do transfer my painting into music by composing strongly improvised music compositions. New painting series will also become an inspiration to release a new music collaboration album featuring great musicians. So far I have recorded with Ben Patterson, Eric Andersen or Ann Noel from Fluxus as well Ryszard Wasko among many others. All of my paintings feature the use of my spray painting method. I make my art piece allowing paint to drip free. I use spray paint - one of the oldest painting techniques. It has been used as early as on rocks in Lascaux caves. Charcoal mixed with saliva in the mouth of the artist was spat on the rock under pressure. I'm constantly searching for visual language of modern world. To communicate it I use spray in cans. To me this kind of dye resembles the world around us: rapid and toxic. Forms I achieve by creating drips unveil a geometric structure of the world. Dribbling paint reveals channels of energy, that cosmos uses to communicate its energy. I create my paintings, allowing paint drip freely down the stretchers.

For me, the most important thing is to reach sources of knowledge through art. I am interested in how the culture in which we live is oppressive towards me and other people. At one time, cultures were more oppressive towards individuals, today, it would seem a bit less. Or maybe it's just a semblance? I am looking for these "shells" imposed by culture or this delicate "powder" that is imposed on our nature. I'm trying to discover the mechanism that governs it. It is necessary to average what is necessary from this oppression, and what we can get rid of as unnecessary ballast associated with, for example, tradition and sometimes too rapid progress.
