Sakura Scatter Painting

I use everyday viewpoints of leaf and botanical scatter, for organic compositions from Japan, and in particular, Yokohama, mixed with layered backgrounds and colours schemes from washi paper. I usually use cross-sections of the viewpoints and arrange them into flat compositions, such as this one. This was reflective of the beginning of spring in Japan, where the colours are clearly deep pink, grey, white and green. The Sakura is falling almost as it's still blooming; it is a very fleeting time.
