About The Artwork
This is a plein air painting of the Salisbury Crags in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh. It was painted in the autumn of 2015. The portrayal of light and atmosphere was inspired by the plein air Hudson River School painters of the 19th century. The painting is on canvas paper measuring 14 x 10 inches, and the frame measures 15 x 11 inches. The frame includes a cord for hanging. Please see photographs for frame details.
