About The Artwork
This painting has a religious subject, interpreting Jesus the savior of the world. The painting is made of canvas, wood and acrylic colors, with the dimensions of 65cm x 50cm. It is one of less than 20 known works of Leonardo and was the only one left in a private collection. It was sold at the Christie's auction in New York to Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Farhan on behalf of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi on November 15, 2017, for $ 450.3 million, setting a new record for the more expensive painting ever sold. The painting is exhibited at the Louvre Abu Dhabi ....... this painting is a replica by George Balmus.
