About The Artwork
Although I am an abstract painter, my work is often inspired by my travels. I went to Marrakesh in 2017 and was blown away by their culture as well as the multitude of colors. However, most memorable was a trip to Sahara desert. I love rocks and stones so it was natural that I would represent them in my work. However, I chose a technique of collage meaning that I painted rocks on paper first and then attached them on to canvas. This way the rock forms were more emphasized. I hope you can visualize the nature formations in all its beauty.
