About The Artwork
The painting is made using the classic technique of egg tempera, a mixture of pigments, linseed oil and egg. Medieval icon painting is based on this technique. A piece of inconspicuous nature is depicted in a multi-layered impressionistic manner, thicket and tangled branches. The surface is very lively due to the incorporated diaspore dust. Diaspore is an abrasive and precious stone with a high refraction of light.
