About The Artwork

In my creation, I've poured vibrant emotions through bold fauvist colors and expressive strokes, igniting the canvas with a whimsical yet poignant reflection of life's contrasts. The solitary puffin brings an introspective narrative against the backdrop of a lively, semi-abstract Scottish seascape. It's a dance of nature and civilization, an evocative piece that will cast an enigmatic yet invigorating energy in any space. It was inspired by my visit to Scotland with my Scottish partner. It was based loosely on the tiny fishing village of Crail, and because of the weather, the Puffin was the only one fishing!! The fantastical colors of the little houses were a great inspiration .I took some photos and did a small sketch and completed the painting in the warmth of my studio back in London. It will be sent ready to hang , carefully wrapped in a box with bubble wrap.
