About The Artwork
I like to try new techniques and processes. I wanted to create a very strong, graphic piece with interesting marks and patterns. This work is simple and complex at the same time. I love the richness of this "paper bag" color combined with accents of old black. There is also a companion painting named, "Screened In" that features a reverse color palette - black background with tan blocks. The two pieces would look amazing, hung side by side.
