The artworks of Arturo Samaniego have a personal style that he likes to describe as organic. The abstract shapes, color fields, and marks, all have a natural quality, very different from those artists who use geometric structures , lines, or hard edges. In these pieces there is the textural quality of natural objects such as stone, water, sky, or mountains, connected by gradual transitions and instinctive flows.
Also, composition is very critical for Arturo. He often uses the golden rule of thirds, to create tensions and continuities that provide the energy and expression of the piece.
