Sea Change Painting

I started in Missouri as an artist at the age of 5. I was accepted into the Kansas City Art Institute in 1964. I could not go because of a family situation and instead went to a teaching college in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I transferred from there to the University of Hawaii, Manoa. I taught high school English in public education (Kauai High School) for 20 years and private (Punahou School) for 10 years. When I retired, I returned to my first love, drawing and painting. I have studied in Atelier programs offered by the University of Hawaii, Windward Campus, Kaneohe, Studio Escalier in France, and the Zwick Academy of Fine Art, Honolulu. I have traveled extensively in England, France, and Italy, studying the masters in museums there. I been accepted into numbers exhibitions in Hawaii, and have sold works in Hawaii and on the mainland. Currently, I operate from a studio at 1041 Maunakea Street, Honolulu, HI and show works in a small gallery there operated by Gallery 315.
