'Sealed containers' comes from a chum of mine who told a story of a person who ended up hoarding all their poo in tupperware. I tried to make the containers seem organic and cellular to show a brain/psyche trapped in its own little boxes of processed safety and fear. I hope whoever it is gets out of them, but currently it seems unlikely. Ditto the storyteller, who is trapped in their own little boxes - presenting happiness and a rather superficial jollity hiding their own 'stuff' away in the hope that it'll stay that way. Poor thing - they have insight but don't seem to have the courage right now to do anything about it. The stuff 'leaks out' in other ways - psychosomatic/-genic symptoms such as troubled sleep, palpitations, worsening eczema, as well as obsessive behaviour and control. The painting bit of this 27 x 17.5 inches (68.5 x 44.5cm) using cardboard, varnish, PVA glue, poster paint. The result is stabilised on plywood, and is housed in a white wood painted box frame. It is pretty textural having raised edges through the cardboard. Shipping dimensions include the frame as it is inseparable from the painting, and is a good protection (and volumetrically cheaper). However I would prefer it if the person it was 'inspired' by (dreadfully over-used word) would accept it - as it was originally intended for you, but then you avoided talking to me about 'stuff' - and then to me entirely. Don't blame you in a way (I can be very irritating about such things), but your stuff won't go away - just fester away however 'sealed'. I hope you have got help elsewhere or you will indeed die alone (you said it) - even if you are in a relationship - as you can't love anyone else unless you know and love yourself, etc...blah, blah, blah

A chum 'borrowed me' to practice his photography - so here are some images. ........ A hobby became - rather surprisingly another occupation, after I went part-time from my consultant psychiatrist job and devoted more time to THIS . As I worked in a 'proper job' 2 days a week my ability to do exhibitions is limited, but have stuff up locally around Cheltenham in bars and offices. Mainly self-taught, but I go to classes at the excellent and very jolly Cheltenham Fine Art (CFA) School (recommended). No nonsense artist - paints etc because fun and people like my stuff. Hate 'esoteric/enigmatic' types. Anyone can shoot me if I ever say 'my art challenges perceptions' etc. Work from home studio 'Helios House' (silly but I like it name). Have painting on 4 continents, so feel slightly international. Sell via this website and word of mouth, but like many have to eat baked beans and do odd jobs to supplement income. Just thought I'd put stuff on this sight to see if I can eat less of the beans! Comments and requests always welcome (as long as constructive criticism!). Toodle Pip!
