About The Artwork
The experience I went through as I painted "Season of Solitude" really was a journey of change and discovery. My challenge was to visually convey to the viewer what I experienced as I wandered through the Autumn forest of my imagination. The fresh, crisp chill in the air, the fragrance of pine and leaves drenched in morning dew. The vibrant, saturated colors of Autumn all around. The thrill of seeing a family of White-Tail Deer. And the sound of a swift moving creek, cascading over rocks and boulders. To reveal this to others can only happen if I've lived there myself, which I have done during this Season of Solitude.
