Second Sun Painting

Following Carrick's recent exhibition 'Hotel Paradiso', she has been working on a small release of paintings, 'Rosado'. Sydney-based artist Hannah Carrick vividly expresses herself through her iconic silhouettes, exploring ideas of female form, shape and colour. Carrick's works are heavily inspired by warm summer days and the comforting feelings evoked by her childhood memories of growing up by the sea. She touches on her memories of travelling through South America from the musky pink salt lakes, to the sunsets that kiss the mountains and the pastel coloured streets of Cartagena Colombia. With various pink hues at play, the tonal collection symbolises sensuality, femininity and inner-peace.
