About The Artwork

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me! anutu-studio@protonmail.com This original painting is a statement for diversity, a tribute to all people who fight for diversity. As a result of historically evolved conditions and structures, a prevailing culture of normality has developed in society, business and also in administrations, which often fails to perceive or excludes others who do not fit into the prevailing culture of normality. Diversity, on the other hand, aims at a culture of diversity that perceives, respects and values each individual in his or her individual diversity and grants him or her equal rights. Many policy measures were and are developed based on a problem-oriented view of target groups. These target groups were (and still are) often reduced to supposed deficits. Often (and sadly) the central question: What can we do for this or that target group so that it integrates better into our society? This is primarily about people fitting into or subordinating themselves to the prevailing culture of normality. Diversity moves away from this problem-centered view of target groups and emphasizes a resource-oriented understanding of diversity: What potential does the diversity of people create for our society? What do we have to do to actually open up equal participation opportunities and possibilities for all people? Diversity does not mean being tolerant of supposedly "different" people. Rather, diversity means critically questioning one's own ideas of "normality," revising (obsolete) patterns of behavior, and using the diversity of our society as an opportunity for development, competence, and social justice. For most of my life I have suffered from not being accepted by society for who I really am. It takes a lot of strength to stand up for yourself. Not everyone has this strength. I don't have the strength to speak out loud, I only have my brushes and my colors. It takes all my courage to say it today. Please accept others and respect others as you accept and love yourself. We are all one family. About the artist: „Social conditions limit the unlimited space. The collective consciousness is present to foster creativity in order to overcome the limits and restraints build by injustice and unfair social conditions. ‍ The pursuit of truth in freedom, for freedom's sake - I lost, but was not defeated, grew stronger, became more aware, became more grateful. I won, but I am not a winner.“ Jacob Von Sternberg, JVS“ © 2021 JVS Original Artwork - All rights reserved.

What remains is the love and kindness in my heart, which I cherish like a treasure. Whatever happens in life, the beat of our hearts decides the path. The essence of unity is reflected in my art. I travelled the world in search of my family and eventually achieved the healing of generations through my relentless search and longing to reunite my family on two continents. By nature I am actually rather shy and very sensitive. I love to support others. Love to speak about unity, about love, and all the wonders I witnessed on my journey around the world. I am grateful you are interested in my work. Art is my life. My work features small, medium, large and also extra large scale paintings on a very wide variety of surfaces. I use canvas, paper, wood, and several nonconventional surfaces such as time worn wood, vintage papers, and antique textiles, and metal findings that I have collected over the years during my travels. I often paint with tools that I have developed myself or use unconventional ones. At times I refuse to use brushes and painter's knives and use only things from everyday life in an adapted form to create my art. My sculptural works feature beach wood, textile surfaces in combination with colored resin, and a selection of antique findings.
