About The Artwork
This is an extremely emotionally intense selfportrait of myself painted while in graduate school for my masters in art. This was during my German Expressionism phase when I was obsessed with their style and Fauvism. The painting itself probably took me only 45 minutes to complete as I was standing at the mirror. It was one of those rare occurrences when everything fell into place naturally, no manipulation.

Growing up in Punta Gorda, Florida where everything was on the water, water skiing, swimming, fishing and most of the streets are still made of brick, my childhood was a very happy one with no shortage of friends in our neighborhood.. My expressive subjects are primarily figures and abstracts as well as interiors, landscapes and still lifes. I love combining vibrant colors with a rhythmical movement in my compositions
