My artistic approach is rooted in a personal exploration of the themes of impermanence and imperfection. Through painting, I explore these themes with a particular interest in the aesthetics of imperfect, ephemeral, and modest objects. My work aims to express the sobriety, roughness and tranquillity of refined abstract painted forms. While I use a variety of materials and processes in each artwork, my methodology is consistent with this main approach. I generally use acrylics, and spontaneous marks are often utilized as elements in my work.
