About The Artwork
Inspired by the novel "Sfarleaza cu fofeaza" - Victor Ion Popa (1936) and by Romanian folklore. Sfarleaza means teetotum, spinner, whirligig, hand mill. Fofeaza means base of loom or wood pin nails on which is placed wool for unfolding or gusset used at the hems of traditional chemises. Unframed and signed on the back.
