About The Artwork
One morning our two hens, Gem and Dixie, were both in the same nesting box when I went to feed our hens and rooster. We have a retirement home for chickens, here on our hobby farm. We don’t eat meat, so our little chickens lay the occasional egg and live out their little feathery lives with us. Gem has since died, but had a good retirement and is buried on our farm. The original is sold, but prints are available.

She immigrated to Canada after marrying her Canadian husband in 2010, and works in her studio on their 8 acre hobby farm in Wainfleet, Ontario.
