Shattered construction Painting

A chaos of construction, shattered as it is. in a painting. We see the world violently falling apart. We see trees, we see ducks, we see the extinct Dodo bird. This work was inspired by the conflict between or disturbance caused by architecture, constructed by humans, threatening and jeopardizing nature while nature struggles to try and find a way to survive in the midst of it all. In turn, the man-made structures are disturbed and challenged as well. It is my hope that viewers will recognize that struggle and strife and realize the consequences of our actions as a people. But the message is also a hopeful one: that in the end, growth, new life and nature will always find a way.
