About The Artwork

The painting is called 'shava' i.e. corpse (in Hindu mythology). Shiva when manifested in the respective masculine and feminine form is the progenitor of the universe, without the feminine kundalini, the masculine manifestation is called 'shava' i.e. a corpse, this is because the female energy is the life force present in all creation, and without which all would be lifeless. In a gist, the painting is a surrealist work that depicts the death of the form taken by the feminine energy (sati, the wife of shiva) due to man's constant exploitation of the same. As for the different elements in the painting, the viewers interpretations are welcomed.
