About The Artwork
Inspired by the change of view society is taking with female sexuality and the freedom they are finally being allowed to have on a social level. I hope audiences will enjoy the comedic innuendo offered with the piece as well as the thoughtful eroticism I attempted to communicate. The hand dyed tissue paper, I dyed myself, adds a unique texture that compliments the heavily textured acrylic paint I manipulated with pallet knives. The style is inspired by comic books which is where I truly began my artistic journey. It is my interpretation of the bold linework used in comic books as well as the bright eye catching, exaggerated colors.
