About The Artwork

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me! anutu-studio@protonmail.com About the artwork: "Shibori Abstract Stripes" is an original mini painting on stretched canvas, hand made and ready to hang. A perfect small abstract painting gift for all occasions. This one-of-a-kind work is part of my Shibori Series. Original abstract canvas painting Inspired by ancient Japanese shibori pattern and my love for the Japanese Culture. While traveling the world to find my family, I also went to Japan, NYC, and California. I stayed longer than planned in the land of the rising sun and followed the footsteps of my aunt to places full of magic and history. In Japan, the art of shibori has a long tradition and has been used since the 8th century AD. Originally, especially the poorer population upgraded their clothes with it. Later, the technique was also used by the elite population for kimonos or door curtains among other things. To this day, shibori is considered a recognized folk art in Japan. With knowledge of ancient skills and respect for their ancestors' innovations, contemporary artists, designers, and craftspeople around the world are reviving their shared cultural heritage. Further about this one-of-a-kind artwork, ready to hang: This is a very unique original hand painted artwork. Not some giclee reproduction print, canvas print or assembly line painted piece. You can feel the deep and true emotion in this painting. It was painstakingly created with much passion and love for every single brushstroke. Thanks a lot for your interest in my work Sincerely, Jacob About the artist: Jacob von Sternberg’s artworks are bought by collectors and art investors worldwide. Jacob is a multi-award-winning artist and designer, and exhibits nationally and internationally. Since 2005, Jacob’s art, designs, and installations can be seen in many publications including The Amplector Magazine, Bunte, Glamour, Gala, Vogue Germany, VIP Travel Magazine Germany, Cosmetic International Magazine, et. al. and his gallery representations. Mentorship Prof. Luigi Colani. 2014 collaboration with US legend Tony Ward who honored von Sternberg's work with a photo production and two portraits of Jacob. Von Sternberg’s paintings appear as dreamlike images in which fiction and reality meet, well-known tropes merge, meanings shift, past and present fuse. Time and memory always play a key role. By emphasising aesthetics, he seduces the viewer into a world of ongoing equilibrium and the interval that articulates the stream of daily events. Moments are depicted that only exist to punctuate the human drama in order to clarify our existence and to find poetic meaning in everyday life. © 2021 JVS Original Artwork - All rights reserved.

(Los Angeles, New York City, Long Island, Florida, Washington D.C., Chicago, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Ohio, and Cincinnati) "In my life there were very challenging experiences that have shaped my view of life itself. What remains is the love and kindness in my heart, which I cherish like a treasure. Whatever happens in life, the beat of our hearts decides the path. The essence of unity is reflected in my art. I travelled the world in search of my family and eventually achieved the healing of generations through my relentless search and longing to reunite my family on two continents. By nature I am actually rather shy and very sensitive. I love to support others. Love to speak about unity, about love, and all the wonders I witnessed on my journey around the world. I am grateful you are interested in my work. Art is my life. My work features small, medium, large and also extra large scale paintings on a very wide variety of surfaces. I use canvas, paper, wood, and several nonconventional surfaces such as time worn wood, vintage papers, and antique textiles, and metal findings that I have collected over the years during my travels. I often paint with tools that I have developed myself or use unconventional ones. At times I refuse to use brushes and painter's knives and use only things from everyday life in an adapted form to create my art. My sculptural works feature beach wood, textile surfaces in combination with colored resin, and a selection of antique findings.
