ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With a scrap from a vintage children's book of fairytales, this painting expresses the way our words create boundaries between what is real and what is defined by language. I use beginnings of articles like "th" to recreate the pure impulse sensed before we are made to name something. This piece is mixed media on un-stretched canvas mounted on stretched canvas with gallery wrapped edges.
