Naomi Basu is an artist based in New York City working primarily with paint and textiles. She creates quasi-religious works that recontextualize Asian sacred ideas and motifs with a Western, secular visual language. Having developed a deep admiration for Tibetan art, she has studied traditional techniques under the Tibetan master painter, Pema Rinzin.
