This landscape in oils on beautiful Belgian linen depicts Lake Jindabyne. A large manmade lake in Australia's Snowy Mountains, built as part of a hydroelectric power initiative. To me the astonishing beauty of the lake is something like a glistening glass skyscraper. Less a natural wonder and more a strange construction reflecting the sky. The scene is viewed looking south across the lake from a hike I took around April 2017. It is constructed of the finest museum quality art materials and hard wood stretcher frame.
