About The Artwork

Since 2022 I have been dividing my time between my studios in Brighton and Athens. I then didn't realise how much of an impact it would have on my art - and particularly my use of colour! The light in Athens is just wonderful - it uplifts me as a person and it has become part of my paintings. This particular piece is part of a larger group of paintings, all created on canvas paper and with a free flowing expression. In most of my work I look for a balance between chaos and order - complexity and simplicity and am interested in the reflective and psychological quality of art - each person will have their own unique experience when looking at an artwork, particularly an abstract painting, your mind will make sense of it based on what it knows and can imagine. So, if you're going to be it's new owner - I would love to hear what story you bring to the painting! But more than anything I hope it brings you some light and inspiration.
