About The Artwork
I was largely affected by seeing how rapidly urbanisation is engulfing the natural environment when I painted this piece. Man made structures and forms now dominate open spcaes like the sky is almost hidden by tall skyscrappers and the ever more construction that is taking place. Yet ironically, being drawn to the heavy use of linework in my painting style, I do find myself being very much attracted to such strutural and architectural aesthestics and the arresting perspectives they create.
