Soul-drift Painting

I am the middle child of 7, born into a wonderful, crazily-diverse, surprisingly functional family. When I look at my parents and siblings, I can see a creative flair in each of them, so to me it makes complete sense that I love to express this trait as well. Currently based out of tropical North Queensland, I am an Australian-born, self-taught artist, and currently create pieces in my spare time outside of my full-time job. What is my passion/inspiration? Just to create. Most of the time my pieces start out as something completely un-related to the finished product. 'Gallahad' for example started out as an air-balloon sketch - and then suddenly - 'Gallahad'. Sometimes I can go many frustrating weeks with an artist-block and then other times I can be so consumed working on a piece for 3 days straight without any concept of time...or the urge to eat or bathe. I create other artworks besides painted pieces aswell. Whether it is using my house as a giant experimental canvas or creating avante garde inspired run-way accessories. I just have a need to create, to bring something interesting into life. I love how art brings out our individuality, not just in the artist creating the piece, but also in the viewer. One person may love a piece that another might find abhorrent. That is what make art so incredibly awesome. That is why I love doing it. If for no other reason but to make people feel something.
