Sound of the Sunset Painting

Stacey Ann Higdon resides in her hometown of Owensboro, KY, with her husband, son, and pets. She has also lived in Colorado, Louisville, KY, and Nashville, TN. Stacey has been making art for fifteen years, and whether art, music, or aesthetics, her passion has always been to create. She began creating art at the age of 16 and was picked soon after by the Governor's School for the Arts as one of Kentucky's top young artist. She has received both state and national recognition for her work. Stacey's favorite medium is painting because it gives her the freedom to express herself through color. Her art portrays the world solely from a subjective perspective, distorting it radically to inspire thought-provoking responses from her viewers. The love to create without being impeded by form and to express oneself without use of words is the glue to her passion for creating art. The translation from mind to canvas makes the work interesting and edgy.
