I was driving from upstate NY that the idea of this painting popped in my head. I wanted to design it as a sand clock. anyway there is sun, moon, and the earth in-between. There are 12 cubes representing 12hours of day and 12 hours of night. they also represent 12 months in a year. from left to center we have life as a green cube, wood, metal, hot magma, ice, and magnetism as in northern lights. from right to center we got different ecosystems on earth. ocean, desert, mountain, forest, grassland, and polar. I believe this is one of my best works combining geometric design with realism and surrealistic idea. a bright and beautiful painting Dear interested buyer due to transitioning to another gallery this and other paintings are available for sale at redwood art group Edmond Gabbay

I started landscape painting in Iran at age of 17. I came to America to attend College. While at college I enrolled in couple of courses in painting and sculpture. The first course developed my geometric design and use of vanishing points to make art works three dimensional The other was Tromp L'oile working with objects and shadows to create more realistic work. These courses developed my style into abstract and geometric designs. Later I refined my painting style into a combination of symbolic, surrealism and mystical with Judaic biblical point of view. I am also fascinated with landscape paintings of American artists during 1800’s, especially works of artists from “ The Hudson School Of Art”. I reproduced paintings from masters such as Thomas Cole, Robert S. Duneken, Francis E. Church and Albert Bierstadt. Within the last 10 years, I am inspired by the work of an American artist “ Shim Shimmel” who has a surrealistic environmental style and I try to follow his style in some of my recent paintings. I usually use bright lively colors. each one of my paintings has some deeper meaning than just the beauty on the surface. There is loneliness, hope and a sense of awe. Some of my non judaic works subject matter are about American history, global warming and preservation of animals and the planet earth. I believe we human beings are careless about preservation of life, plants and animals and we should work more toward conservation than short term profit for the sake of our grandchildren and their grandchildren.
