About The Artwork
"Spelbound" was Created with acrylic and oil paint, a palette of crimson, magenta, teal, green, ochre, pink and purple blend together in "Spellbound". The painting is on a large stretched canvas(48 x 60) with a 1.5 depth. Sides are painted with a shade of purple and it arrives wired and ready to hang (unframed). "Spellbound" was selected for an exhibition at The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art (Metro Montage Juried Exhibition) which ran from July- September 2022 and is now available to purchase. I'm an abstract artist from Atlanta, Georgia. I create my paintings using a variety of mediums, including acrylic paint, oil paint, alcohol ink, texture mediums, and oil sticks. My work strives to create a thoughtful and emotional experience drawing you into a world of color, texture, and mood. My approach always starts with a decision to be open and surrender to the moment. A mix of intentional and intuitive paint pours, gestural strokes, or marks create a dance of color and texture that are both spontaneous and deliberate. From there I allow the process to guide me, free from judgements or limitations. As I paint, some elements get covered over while others are revealed again, and the finished painting contains a rich, layered history. Art has become an important part of my life to nourish, heal and connect with my intuition and what I need spiritually to share with others.
