Springtime landscape Painting

Despite always having a passion for art, the decision to quit my career and become a full time artist was still a scary one. Two years later, I have no regrets and could not imagine doing anything else in life. I'm an artist working across painted mixed media and textile art. My work explores contrasts of colour and surface in distinctive ways. Vibrant and tactile, I aim to present the ordinary as extraordinary. Liverpool, the thriving city I live in presents a rich source of inspiration: the industrial dock warehouses, geometry of architecture set against a backdrop of changeable coastline. Since embarking on this adventure, I have had the opportunity to teach, attend arts fairs, begin exhibiting and have completed several large scale commissions.
