About The Artwork
I am deeply inspired by the visuality of the Tibetan thangka style of painting. I like to create a universe in each picture. I like to tell the story as it unfolds while creating. There is a plot... a beginning, a middle, and a finale. This art work features the visual story mapping on the skin of a standing figure. The figure is rendered as the negative space emerging out of the background consisting of numerous tiny dots. A fertile landscape of rocks, plants and water frames the foreground. On her body are images of flowers, landscapes, and clouds. Her expression is energetic yet peaceful. She is meant to be an inspiration, delivering gifts.
