Alternative title: Screenshot of the Graphical User Interface of a Software Application for the Time-sequenced Synthesis of Stellar Bodies This work started out as a pure process exploration, with a few basic objectives or guidelines in mind, being... 1. Create a work with a dark or black background. 2. Use metallic paints (silver and gold metallics). 3. Experiment with free-form calligraphy or an invented notation scheme. 4. For the background, use a wooden guide and toothed silicon implement to drag lines into wet paint, to form a horizontal grid for the notation. 5. Use various implements and shape widgets to dab paint in forming the notation. 6. Use paint dragging techniques in producing the notation. Once these basic process guidelines were determined, a work was intuitively produced, and what emerged from the process revealed itself as something like a whimsical user interface of a cosmic device used by a higher being to sequence or choreograph the creation stellar bodies, likening the chronological evolution of a galaxy to a ballet or other form of performance art.
