About The Artwork

These series of my oil paintings are all based on music. These paintings are fixing my body movements on the surface, using the music as a basic rhythm of the dance, as I move above the canvas. The music I listen to is Dub music, a contemporary shoot of Jamaican reggae music. My aim was to use music in the procedure of making art, but after the painting has finished- music goes away with the wind. My intention was to make the vibes visible, but in an informal way- non readable. To visualize the pulsation of music- and in one have a good dance during painting :) This piece based on a spring color combination- the dry yellow, and the light cobalt sky- when the first sunshine rays touches the sky. Musically, i painted this work to two different tracks, this is why there is a bit of contrast between the layers. Started with a more smooth song, and the second helped me to find the colour of the last layer- purple-ish red, with alizarine krapplack. The most rhythmic piece of the series.

As long as I can remember, I always had a deep interest to create, draw, and paint. Either as a child and later as an autodidact graffiti writer in my teenager hood. After realizing my addiction creation I started to take classic drawing lessons in Budapest, and visual culture – painting faculty in the College of Nyíregyháza, Hungary. After three years of study, I realized, that I could go further with art, and I applied to the Hungarian University of Fine Art where I graduated in 2019 -after few years of travelling and working abroad in Mexico and London, UK. After many years of classical studies of formal drawing and painting I finally got to the point of losing formal representation of painting, and slowly flowed into abstract painting. I felt the catch of the moment, and my works become more expressive and non repeatable, using the gift of coincidences. I work with the material, and let it flow – and it has its own potentials, its own changes during the procedure – this is how we work together. I emphasize the rhythm of music on my layers – as the engine of my life.
