"Still Life with wineglasses and strawberry" Painting

Decorative textured sketch, written from nature in a Moscow Studio. Original work. It is part of a series of small-format chamber still lifes made in the technique of pasty palette knife oil painting with a characteristic volume texture of the brushstroke. All works were completed in the spring of 2020, during the quarantine period. "It was important for me to find inspiration in something simple, certainly close, in something used in everyday life. In view of this,a deliberately small format was chosen, able to accommodate the dynamics and lightness expressed in the voluminous and unpredictable structure of the batch.I did not want to use straightforward "staged" compositions with exposed objects and directed light, on the contrary, at first I was looking for spontaneous still lifes dictated by everyday life itself, the natural course of life. This is an attempt to look from another point to find unusual pictorial perspective on familiar objects - glasses of water, vegetables in their cooking, vases,frames of paintings, jars,formed in the General outline in the process of rearranging, not associated with creative activity." The work was exhibited in September 2020 at the exhibition hall of Moscow Union of Artists (MOSH)on Begovaya street at the exhibition "Moscow and Muscovites".
