Oleksandra Padushyna (born 1992, Berdyansk, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian watercolor artist currently living and working in Nordhausen, Germany. Her life and artistic practice are deeply connected to the theme of water. Having spent her entire life by the sea, she has been profoundly influenced by it and by its ever-changing moods. Oleksandra has a particular passion for sunsets over the water. Her paintings are filled with an atmosphere of harmony, joy, and serenity. Since childhood, she has believed in God, and this faith has also shaped her art — her works radiate light and hope. Oleksandra Padushyna earned her Master’s degree in Fine Arts from M.P. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University in Kyiv. She regularly participates in exhibitions in various galleries and museums. Her works have been exhibited in Ukraine, Greece, Poland, and the USA, and have entered both public and private collections, including those of M.P. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University (Kyiv) and Bethel Christian Centre (Berdyansk). The artist is a laureate and prizewinner of art competitions: she won 3rd place in the Projekt Together for Future International Online Competition (Czech Republic, 2020) and was a laureate of the regional art festival Constellation of Fulfilled Hopes (Ukraine, 2008).
