Sting--Analyze our life-NO.12-05 Painting

Tianliang Cheng was born in Taiyue Mountain District in Shanxi province, whose grandfather was a knowledgeable scholar in late Qing dynasty. Since he was young, Cheng started to learn Chinese calligraphy with influence of his family, which laid a solid foundation of his art career. During 1990s, he studied arts in a normal college for years. His early works mainly represent abstract expressionism. After the visit to Old Summer Palace, the origin of Chinese Contemporary Arts, he set up his own work shop in Songzhuang of China in 2005, where many Chinese Contemporary artists live. Then his painting style changes from abstract expressionism to expressionism. Cheng believes that his expressionism works now can reflect the current ideology and human’s high level spiritual pursuit better.
