The unique seascape painted by Vladimir Davydenko was born on the black sea coast, in Abkhazia. New Afon. The city has an ancient and eventful history. It was first mentioned in the third century as Anacopia, or Trachea. At that time, this Greek colony was considered an important center of trade on the Black sea. Thanks to archaeological excavations, it is known that this was a rich, highly developed merchant city, which was the cultural capital of ancient Abkhazia. In religious terms, the starting point for the development of the city can be considered 1874 - it was then that the monks from The old Athos monastery arrived on the banks of the Psyrtskha river. Pilgrims who arrived in Abkhazia soon began building a monastery at the foot of mount Athos, calling it new Athos-hence the modern name of the city. The fertile place and Sunny weather inspired the artist to take up the brush. The picture shows the moment of the beginning of the storm. The water is still clear and plays with greenish colors in the light. Stones wet with water are so voluminous that they make you want to touch them. Bright sunlight, light gusts of wind, the sound of a rolling wave immerse the viewer in a sense of real presence on the coast. As for the technical side of painting, the attention is drawn to the textured stones in relation to the middle and far plans. The master does not spare paint in a pasty foreground stroke, creating the illusion of 3d space. The author will use this technique in almost all the pictures that we will see on this channel.

Hi! I am a professional artist Vladimir Davydenko from Russia. I work in all genres of realistic oil painting. I admire the beauty of the world around me and try to capture it on canvas. Whether it's a landscape, portrait or still life. With pleasure I write sea waves breaking on coastal rocks. I try to create a feeling of sea breeze and rolling waves. My favorite genre is portrait, and especially thematic painting. There are no problems with the scenes. I close my eyes before I go to sleep, and suddenly, in a flash, I see event. It remains only to develop on the sketch and start work. In the process of working with oil, I feel a huge emotional rush, which is captured on canvas. I hope you will definitely feel it.
