About The Artwork

I spent most of my life on the coast of the Black Sea. The sea has been my endless source of inspiration, never repeating itself. Unfortunately, I now live far from the sea, but its influence always accompanies me. This winter, I learned from the news that an unprecedentedly powerful storm hit my hometown. Watching the news, I was struck by the indescribable power and beauty of nature. It was from there that the idea for my painting was born: a stormy sky and waves expressing their strength and gradually calming down. To bring this idea to life, I chose oil paints and canvas – a classic material for painting. Every time I paint the sea, I can't help but think of the works of my fellow countryman Aivazovsky, whose paintings inspire me with their magic. The sea becomes the main subject of my art, even being far from its shores. The borders of the painting are painted in continuation of the painting, so the painting can be hung without a frame.

Albina is a talented young artist born in a small Ukrainian seaside town, where the vastness of the sea profoundly influenced her. Her passion for art began in a private studio before she even started school, and later she successfully completed her education in art school. After school she earned a bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urban Planning in Simferopol. Her pursuit of excellence led her to St. Petersburg, where Albina obtained a master's degree in Environmental Design. Boldly relocating to Canada, with one suitcase, half filled with art materials, she continues her creative journey. Since childhood, wielding pencils, Albina constantly experiments with materials and techniques, giving her works a unique character. Her portfolio already showcases numerous creative endeavors, and the future promises even more experiments and stylistic discoveries. However, one thing remains constant - her inseparable connection with brushes and paints.
