Part of a set of 4 paintings named Oxymorons : With these 4 paintings i wanted to portray casual pictures of planet Earth pollution by the human being. From these situations pops up the paradox of the oxymoron which reflects the contradictions of human being in his relation to nature. Sublime waste: and what if the ugly suddenly became sublimely beautiful? What is beautiful? What is ugly? Sometimes these two originate from the shape. Other times from the substance. But the nature of things being more complex than these sole binary criterias, these two most often originate from tensions and subtle interactions between the shape and the substance. And here is the oxymoron that is made through the waste of human being dumped in nature.
