About The Artwork
Summers Path is inspired by high summer when trees are clothed in green leaves, the fields are full of lush grass and the summers' path winds through the landscape taking us to distant horizons where the summers' solstice moon shines. Flocks of birds catch the light as they flit from tree to tree and the painting evokes a feeling of calm. Green can be a tricky colour but I enjoyed exploring its myriad shades when painting this work.
