Painted on large canvas stapled to wooden stretcher frame, ready to hang. Sides painted, finished work. I wandered down to the beach in my jandles. The sun was rising over Aotea harbour. Remote. Smell of seaweed. No cellphone coverage here. I'm woken up on New Zealand west coast beach, North Island. Aotea facing Matakowhai Bay.
