About The Artwork

'Sunlight in the Lanes, Brighton' The sun breaking through the clouds illuminated this facade and struck inspiration for me. I loved the powerful contrast between this glowing building and the shadowed wall in the foreground. This is right in the middle of the Lanes where there is a real buzz from many people browsing and dining, a spot I've painted in many times! W: 200mm H: 250mm D: 4mm - This piece is an original unframed oil painting on high quality canvas board. - This surface is very easy and convenient for immediate framing and hanging as at 4mm deep the boards fit into regular picture frames. - Signed on the front. - Titled, dated and signed in full on the back. - All paintings are carefully packaged in a handmade and durable parcel. - As a purchaser buying internationally, you will be responsible for any import taxes, customs duties or fees imposed by your destination country. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! Thank you, Elliot

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

From my Brighton studio, I seek atmospheric effects of light between the buzz of the city and the calmness of the beach. I have long been inspired by architectural subjects, looking to explore the relationship between static man-made forms and the unpredictability of people and nature. Being next to the sea is crucial for my work as my fascination with seascape painting allows me to refine the capture of fast changing light. The South facing coastline enjoys the sweep of the sun all day creating a vast array of light effects and reflections. This urgency when working en plein air has shaped my painting style into one of immediacy and directness. Commissions available. Instagram: @elliotroworth_artist
