I spotted this beautiful landscape while traipsing through a field of sleepy cows on one of my early morning walks while staying down in North Devon I luckily had my sketch book to hand and took a few photos and then painted the landscape back in the warmth of my studio. The colors are more about how I feel and I am always inspired by David Hockney and his often outlandish use of color. as kandinsky said, Color is the music of the soul. In this oil painting, I've melded realism with expressionism to capture a moment of contrast—a vibrant juxtaposition of solitude and intimacy. The bold brushstrokes and rich colors bring life to a scene that speaks volumes of our human yearnings and the complex tapestry of urban life. It's a narrative frozen in time, inviting contemplation and emotion, that will add depth and conversation to any space it adorns.

. My recent paintings and photographs of Parisian and New York everyday life are inspired by the many summers and winters we have lived in both cities. Art is the highest form of hope ! " Jo Tuck's works are in private collections around the world and regularly participates in shows in New York, Caelum Gallery, and London. , including Christie's Cancer benefit show and the RA Summer shows Her background is film editing until she became a full-time painter and photographer. While she was at college she made two 16mm short films, one on the Australian Aboriginal Women and another on Sheep farming in Wales. After film editing for the BBC and feature films I took up painting and photography full time. My photojournalism is inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Eugene Atget, and Robert Frank .
