Sunset, Moon & Billboards Painting

Acrylic on Canvas Board. With a background in architecture and graphic design my work mostly represents the built environment often through it's structure whether it new, worn away or years of layering and alterations. I depict the constant, ever changing, and temporary fabric of the city that I experience and feel everyday. Oliver Marder b. 1974 Lives in London Oliver Marder studied Architecture at the Plymouth School of Architecture and University of Westminster. Following this he worked for Sir Nicholas Grimshaw in London. After 3 years he set off on his own venture with an award winning web design firm Nomad Design. With a love of travel, art, photography and architecture it took him round the world and then settling for 4 years in Kenya. Here, he and his wife bought an ocean front plot of land and built an eco-lodge (Kanani House, Watamu). After returning to London in 2008, he has since worked on a number of his own creative projects including upcycling furniture and fine art along side event work with a world renowned technology firm to help implement change in multinational companies through immersive consulting. Now with a 6 year old boy and a set of twin girls (b.2014), he juggles painting in his home studio with looking after the twins.
