Elliot Minor is an abstract artist based in London, UK. Having covered a wide range of approaches and styles, his artistic practice now deals in linear repetitive mark making and monochromatic ‘ColourChrome’ painting. The works have a contemporary and modern feel with a strong focus toward minimalism. Furthermore, he often explores colour themes, textures, materiality and the act/process of painting. - Edit from 2016, Saatchi Art Curator Jessica McQueen, ‘One to Watch’- “Elliot Minor’s minimalist abstracts are rooted in nature. He draws inspiration from his rural environment and his architectural background, exploring the juxtaposition between the natural and the artificial and man-made. Elliot’s practice is about going back to the basics, using organic forms and simple compositions to explore larger moments. For him it is about conveying ideas and sensations and turning them into a specific artistic language.” - Elliot received a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the Manchester School of Art and studied architecture at the Manchester School of Architecture. He exhibits his work frequently within London and the UK. His work can be found in private collections in Europe and the U.S, and also in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures department, University of Manchester. - In August, 2021, he completed a large mural for the entrance to Bonhams Auction House, situated on New Bond Street in the heart of London. - He works from his studio in West London, UK.
